Three clouds hover over a heart pierced by three swords... rain everywhere. Even the Trinity has turned against love. I do find the symmetrical pattern of the piercing to remind me of the design of crests and authoritarian monograms. Don't know what to make of that - a kind of ordered violence. More ordered than the card with the fellow face down stabbed innumerable times in the back. These are depressing cards. My initial response to this card was imminent doom, and now I see the possibilities of intuition and insight that penetrate a more superficial response. I am still puzzling out what a "sentimentalized short-hand for feelings" looks like.
